Atlanta-based songwriter Gerard McHugh was being mentored in the music business by the Indigo Girls Amy Ray and Americana singer-songwriter Michelle Malone when all three singer-songwriters were students in Atlanta, GA. McHugh had the good fortune to meet and write with 54th MileĀ  producer guitarist Jeremy Richmond in Atlanta in 1984 playing such venues as 688 and the Metroplex. McHugh and Richmond have collaborated as songwriters and digital producers for 39 years.
